Henan folk artist Ma Dexiang displayed to visitors his "Olympics Map of
China" woven with palm fiber at Yangshan Tablet Stone Scenic Spot of the
Ming (1368 to 1644) Culture Village of Nanjing on Oct. 4. This "Olympics
Map of China" took Ma and his apprentices three months to weave. It is
1.6 meters in diameter and has five Olympic rings above the map of China.
Ma hopes to present this "Olympics Map of China" as a gift to the Beijing
Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
