In mid November, black-headed gulls returned from Siberia to "spring
city" Kunming for the winter. By Nov. 15, more than 20,000 black-headed
gulls have arrived at the city's Cuihu Park. Keepers have disinfected the
whole park and Kunming government has appropriated special funds to
produce new food to help resist bird flue virus for those gulls.
Moreover, Yunnan Center for Disease Prevention and Control will conduct
sampling check on those black-headed gulls to ensure that they can live
through the winter safely.
